Job Description:

What will you do?

  • Lead/Participate in scope definition workshops and own delivery of the completed work.
  • Lead the business team in gathering requirements and choosing the best way to implement requirements leveraging Direct Capture of Objectives (DCO) within the Pega Platform.
  • Ensure requirements management and facilitation best practices are adhered to including the management of artifacts through traceability, version control, and change control.
  • Translate business needs into Pega-architected process flows and solutions.
  • Work within an agile environment to identify and document client-centric workflow and case management needs (cutting across functional and business unit silos as needed).
  • Work with the Product Owner to create user stories and backlogs.
  • Manage DCO sessions, maintain the functional backlog, and support functional design ensuring optimal use of Pega functionality and adhering to guardrails.
  • Capture requirements in use cases, requirements and design templates as part of DCO.
  • Validate development work and test scenarios.
  • Work with business teams to understand/identify process reuse opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the IT to review work and provide guidance on technical issues.
  • Assist with the design of the Pega enterprise class structure.
  • Mentor, coach and support the development of more junior ECM Business Consultants.
  • Support a work environment that promotes client-centricity, quality, continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and teamwork.
  • Proactively recognize business trends and/or company policies that affect ECM practices and make recommendations for process/system enhancements.
  • Incorporate information security standards and requirements into all solutions.

What will you need to succeed?

  • 5 years’ experience designing and delivering complex Pega case management projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in solution design for Pega-based solutions encompassing internal facing and external facing applications.
  • Advanced knowledge of BPM concepts, techniques, tools and delivery approaches.
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive information technology experience with full application development life cycle and systems integration experience.
  • Knowledge of the PRPC Architecture, as well as PRPC design & implementation features.
  • Strong data modeling experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and can explain concepts to both business and IT stakeholders.
  • Experience working in Agile and Waterfall environments.
  • Certified Pega Business Architect (CPBA) and/or Certified System Architect (CSA).

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
