Job Description:
Sun Life is seeking a Manager, Partnerships & Growth to join our innovative Health Products & Platforms team. Reporting to the Product Director for ePharmacy, this role is at the forefront of Sun Life’s mission to improve healthcare accessibility. As a key contributor, you will drive the growth and scaling of our Online Pharmacy and Chronic Disease Management (CDM) portfolio. This position is a unique blend of managing key partner relationships, delivering on plans to drive scalable growth, and identifying new areas of opportunity across the business. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams across marketing, product, strategy, legal and compliance, while also engaging with key third-party partners to grow our suite of products and services. This role will be a critical part of the overall Health Products & Platforms team, ensuring our solutions are embraced and used by clients. The candidate will also play a pivotal role in ensuring Sun Life Health achieves its commercial ambitions. This adoption and utilization will drive important health outcomes for Canadians, directly contributing to our purpose.
What will you do?
The Partnerships & Growth Manager will be responsible for delivering on the Health Products & Platforms growth strategy across four key channels:
Group Benefit Plan Sponsors:
Consult with Account Managers to better understand the needs of Sun Life clients, execute partnership opportunities, and report on uptake of program utilization at the Sponsor level
Develop Sponsor engagement materials such as information toolkits, presentations for internal sales teams, and other resources to drive awareness of current and future programs
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to unlock exclusions in place that currently prevent broader awareness of ePharmacy and CDM programs
Sun Life Canada Business Units
Work proactively with other Sun Life BUs to understand their strategies, products, and ambitions in the health space and identify areas for collaboration (i.e., cross promotion or use cases to adapt our existing in-market offerings to serve a specific need)
Implement cross-BU initiatives, report on uptake across different channels and document learnings to bring back to the broader team
Direct to Consumer
Support the Sun Life Marketing team in delivering on D2C campaigns that introduce solutions to Canadians, regardless of their Insurer
Collaborate with internal marketing and product teams to understand key points of drop off along the user journey and identify areas for improvement to bring back to the product team
External Partner Management
Explore new partnerships outside the Sun Life ecosystem to drive ePharmacy and CDM growth
Lead internal risk reviews and contracting processes to finalize new partnerships
Support day-to-day partnership management, including co-creation and approval of marketing content, reporting on monthly/quarterly outcomes and delivering on contract requirements
What do you need to succeed?
Motivated by a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of our plan members and improve their health outcomes
Strong understanding of the health industry and environment and ability to synthesize market opportunities for Sun Life Health
Proven ability to translate strategy into execution and manage initiatives effectively and efficiently
Excellent leadership skills and a track record for collaborating with other teams and stakeholders
Strong client orientation - ability to interpret client needs and wants while building trust and long terms relationships
Strong organizational skills
Solid knowledge of the Health industry, with an emphasis on digital health
Understanding of the Group Benefits market would be an asset
