Home Education Teacher Required for
Myrnam Outreach and Homeschool Centre
Myrnam Outreach and Homeschool Centre (MOHC) requires a 0.25 FTE interim Home Education teacher commencing February 2, 2026 to June 24, 2026.
The Home Education teacher supports families and students engaged in parent directed programming, ensuring learning experiences are meaningful and personalized while fostering a supportive relationship between school and home.
MOHC, whose home base is located in Myrnam, Alberta is an online/outreach and home education school with approximately 120 students from Kindergarten to Grade 12.
The successful candidate will:
- have a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
- be familiar with Alberta Education outcomes and creative teaching strategies.
- have strong communication skills and be able to build trust and maintain clear respectful dialogue with families.
- understand the diverse needs of families.
- be comfortable supporting varied approaches to learning.
- effectively utilize technology as a communication tool.
- be collaborative and committed to building relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- foster curiosity, resilience, and lifelong learning.

In 1995, parent and community stakeholders initiated the amalgamation of five school boards into what is now St. Paul Education. In doing so, St. Paul Education became the only school division in Alberta to operate both separate and public schools under one board. The Division's religious, linguistic and cultural diversity is a source of strength and pride.
We serve 3627 students (K-12), including Catholic, First Nation, Mennonite, Hutterite and Home Schooling learners. Our 19 definable school sites are staffed by approximately 230 FTE teaching staff and 300 support staff.
