Position: Junior Operations and Engineering Assistant - 4 - 6 Week Contract

The Operations Department at St. George’s School is seeking a motivated and technically proficient Junior Operations and Engineering Assistant for a short-term opportunity. This role is ideal for a post-secondary student or recent graduate seeking hands-on experience in a fast-paced operational environment.
Over a 4 - 6-week period, you will work closely with the Operations team, supporting ongoing engineering projects, administrative functions, and coordination tasks. This is a dynamic role that requires both technical acumen and strong organizational skills. The successful candidate will gain practical experience in project coordination, facilities engineering, and administrative functions. They will have the opportunity to develop technical and communication skills in a supportive team environment, as well as insight into the planning and execution of large-scale operational projects.

Responsibilities will include:
- Assist with the coordination of engineering and maintenance projects across both campuses.
- Support the Operations team in managing data, documentation, and internal systems.
- Liaise with various departments and vendors to schedule maintenance and service tasks.
- Maintain and update operational records, logs, and databases.
- Provide administrative support including report generation, meeting coordination, and filing.
- Support project tracking efforts and assist with documenting processes and procedures.
- Overseeing the School’s online asset and project management database (eBase).
- Ensuring that all of the School’s property and facility assets are tracked, and maintenance/ replacement schedules are kept current.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications will include:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Engineering, Facilities Management, Operations, or a related technical field.
- Previous experience in an operational or administrative support role is an asset.
- Strong technical proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), databases, and project tracking tools.
- Excellent attention to detail, with strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- A proactive and collaborative team player with a positive attitude.
