Mission

Under the supervision of the production supervisor, the TIG MIG welder contributes to manufacturing operations by preparing, assembling, and welding metal parts according to the required processes, plans, and assembly ranges, in order to ensure efficient, safe production that complies with quality requirements.


In this position, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Read, interpret, and understand plans, technical drawings, specifications, and welding procedures to determine the appropriate work methods.
  • Weld components using GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) processes, in accordance with established parameters and quality requirements.
  • Position and assemble parts using jigs, fixtures, and clamping devices to ensure compliance with assembly sequences and prescribed tolerances
  • Safely operate manual cutting equipment (flame cutters) and other related tools required for part preparation
  • Use and adjust metal forming and processing machines such as press brakes, shears, and straightening rollers, as required for production
  • Visually and dimensionally inspect completed welds to ensure they meet current quality, compliance, and safety standards
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment that complies with OHS procedures

Profile
