Description
In this position, you will have the opportunity to :
- Stock products arriving from production (“scan” and affix labels to boxes).
- Prepare customer orders with the help of the picking list: pack pallets, affix straps to protect and stabilize products during handling and transportation, scan and affix customer labels to boxes/pallets, perform transactions in the integrated database (PGI/ERP e.g. Syteline, load trucks using a pallet truck
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. carriers). UPS, Fedex, Dicom) in the dedicated area
- Have certificates of conformity prepared by the quality team
- Drive the forklift to place merchandise in pallets and/or take merchandise out to prepare orders
- Scan products with the barcode scanner (gun) to define their location
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment: Sweep, dust and mop
- Handle boxes weighing up to 35 lbs (using cart or pallet jack when necessary or possible)
- Participate in physical and cyclical inventory counts
- Report any discrepancies
- Temporary full-time position
- Shift: evening (Monday to Friday 3pm-11pm)
- Salary: $24.07/hr on entry, $25.63/hr after 1920 hours worked
- Shift premium: $1.25/hr for evening shift
With the following skills and qualities, you'll be successful in this role:
- Strong speaking and writing skills in French and English, as exchanges with out-of-province and out-of-country carriers are required. Product labels may be in English
- Good stress and priority management (several tasks at the same time)
- Ability to communicate by e-mail
- Ability to work on the computer
- Carry out transactions in ERP e.g. Syteline
- Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. carriers)
- Ability to participate in inventories (large-scale counting)
- Physical fitness, the job requires handling and lifting a certain amount of weight (20-30lbs on average).
- Ability to work as part of a team

- 5-week training period under the collective agreement (subject to extension and will be done on the day shift)
