Description
As a quality specialist at Soucy, you will be at the heart of our performance, ensuring dimensional control of parts, management of measuring instruments, technical documentation, and follow-up on non-conformities that meet the highest industry standards. Your role will consist of validating, inspecting, and approving parts to ensure they meet our customers' requirements. In addition to coordinating and monitoring corrective and preventive actions, you will actively participate in the evolution of our quality system, ensuring that every problem finds a lasting solution. Your expertise will be essential to maintaining and improving the quality of our products throughout the supply chain!
In this position, you will have the opportunity to:
- Operate and program coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) for the inspection of mechanical parts
- Inspect production parts according to drawings and technical specifications
- Prepare part acceptance documents in accordance with customer requirements and internal standards
- Write non-compliance reports, including managing the quarantine of non-compliant parts
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to identify causes and implement corrective actions
- Manage purchasing, inventory, calibration, and periodic verification of measuring instruments
- Train production employees in the use and maintenance of measuring instruments
- Lead and/or participate in internal audits and process reviews
- Perform all other duties related to the job

ProfileWith the following skills and qualities, you will be successful in this role:
- College diploma (DEC) in mechanical engineering or related fields
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidEdge, SolidWorks)
- Proficiency in metrology tools and quality standards (ISO, ASME, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and geometric tolerances
- Rigorous, independent, analytical, and detail-oriented
- Proficiency with computer tools (Microsoft Office 365, etc.)
- Communication and training skills
- Organizational skills
