Mission

Finding the perfect balance between office and field work is possible at Soucy! As a quality engineer, you will have the opportunity to learn more about our various manufacturing and assembly methods in order to meet our customers' highest quality standards. Your main role? Identify current and potential quality issues, understand their root causes, and recommend sustainable solutions that will support the company's performance and customer satisfaction.


In this position, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Support our suppliers in their quality control efforts and improve supplier quality assurance (SQA) processes
  • Establish and monitor SAQ performance indicators
  • Manage non-conformities, problem-solving analyses, and corrective action plans in our internal developments and with suppliers
  • Coordinate the rapid resolution of urgent internal and supplier non-quality issues, thus avoiding any production line stoppages
  • Participate in establishing specifications and quality requirements for our internal products and with our suppliers, based on customer and engineering requirements
  • Coordinate the development and industrialization of various inspection tools
  • Participate in the implementation of an in-process inspection system
  • Maintain the supplier database and participate in audits

Profile

With the following skills and qualities, you will be successful in this role:

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, metallurgical engineering, materials engineering, or any other relevant field.
  • Knowledge of key industry standards and norms (ASTM, SAE, ANSI, ISO).
  • At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and in processes (machining, welding, molding, painting, etc.).
  • Knowledge of metrology, blueprint reading, and geometric tolerancing
  • Functional English to communicate with our customers
  • Passport holder and available to travel
  • Good adaptability and flexibility
  • Rigorous and analytical mindset
