Mission

Want to put your extensive knowledge as a chemist to good use? At Soucy Techno, you will play a key role in developing plastic formulations and improving processes. Generating new ideas and proposing innovative solutions will be at the heart of your daily work. In this position, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Manage customer projects, from the formulation of plastic compounds to their continuous improvement
  • Develop and optimize formulations
  • Be the go-to person for knowledge management on polymers and the technical characteristics of target markets
  • Support sales teams in new product development, technical support, and customer problem solving
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement or development with customers (e.g., cost reduction, performance improvement, sustainable development, volume increase)
  • Conduct research on new raw materials and participate in technical negotiations with suppliers in collaboration with purchasing
  • Act as a technical liaison between the customer and various internal functions
  • Provide technical support to production and quality assurance
  • Handle non-conformities and follow up on experimental tests
  • Actively participate in working groups or continuous improvement projects

With the following skills and qualities, you'll be successful in this role:


  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or polymer science
  • 10 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in the plastics industry (formulation, processing, extrusion, injection, etc.)
  • Autonomy, rigor, and ability to manage projects comprehensively
  • Analytical mind and ability to make decisions quickly
  • Attention to detail and sense of innovation
  • Scientific curiosity, ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies or materials
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively
  • Bilingualism (French and English) in order to communicate with our partners; Spanish is an asset
