Description
The Market Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for gathering, analyzing and interpreting market data and customer needs. He/she will play a strategic role in the development of new products by being the voice of the customer throughout the process. With in-depth knowledge of market trends, consumers and consumer data, the incumbent will serve as a benchmark for assessing the real potential of ideas, identifying untapped market niches and developing products that meet market needs.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to :
- Elaborate market studies related to products targeted by the development team (design/engineering/sales)
- Identify opportunities and propose them to the development team
- Understand customer behavior and unmet needs in order to identify innovation opportunities
- Gather customer needs in the field
- Communicate with our representatives to integrate the specific needs of each customer Participate in customer calls at the outset of a project to capture requirements and strategically influence appropriate solutions that can be manufactured by SSM based on relevant market information
- Choose a research strategy based on available resources and time
- Use customer needs research techniques: users/users, ethnography, interviews and focus groups
- Continuously gather all the news directly or indirectly related to the product in order to propose areas of development (monitoring)
- Participate in product design in collaboration with multidisciplinary product development teams
- Monitor the performance and reviews of our products in the market and identify opportunities for improvement for future projects.

ProfileWith the following skills and qualities, you'll be successful in this role:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing / engineering / industrial design
- Experience in marketing research / market research
- Passionate about motorsports and very good knowledge of the market (ATV, UTV, snowmobile, motorcycle, boat, golf cart,.... )
- Good research practices applied to product development
- Knowledge of different research methods upstream of development
- Organizational skills and management of the search for opportunities
- Bilingualism essential, both spoken and written (English and French), in order to communicate with our English-speaking customers
- Ability to effectively manage several projects simultaneously
- Great ability to synthesize information and data and turn them into ideas.
- Able to present results to different groups of people/committees
- Enjoys frequent travel
