Mission

Within manufacturing operations, the Director of Operations - Thermoforming serves as the strategic and operational leader of the division. He or she is responsible for the overall performance of operations, process optimization, and the coordination of key functions that support production.

The position encompasses all activities related to production, industrial engineering, planning, the supply chain, quality, and health and safety within a demanding manufacturing environment.


MISSION

Ensure the performance, efficiency, and sustainability of thermoforming operations by optimizing processes, engaging teams, and ensuring alignment between production, quality, costs, lead times, and safety.


In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Provide overall leadership for thermoforming operations
  • Drive operational performance (productivity, costs, quality, lead times, safety)
  • Lead and motivate the teams under your responsibility (production, industrial engineering, logistics, planning, quality, OHS)
  • Oversee production activities through supervisors and ensure the smooth flow of operations
  • Optimize manufacturing processes (Lean, continuous improvement, automation)
  • Ensure alignment between planning, procurement, and production
  • Collaborate with technical and product development teams on industrialization
  • Ensure operational compliance with quality, health, safety, and applicable standards
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report to management
  • Identify and lead initiatives for continuous improvement and cost optimization

Profile

With the following skills and qualities, you’ll thrive in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
  • At least 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience in continuous improvement and process optimization
  • Bilingualism (French/English) to communicate with our English-speaking partners
