Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret shop drawings and installation plans.
  • Install prefabricated aluminum and glass railing systems and exterior staircases according to specifications.
  • Measure, mark, align, and secure components with precision.
  • Perform on-site assembly using appropriate tools and fasteners.
  • Ensure all installations meet safety and quality standards (CNESST and CCQ compliant).
  • Communicate effectively with the foreman and team members to ensure efficient site progress.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Drive to and from job sites (company vehicle may be provided).
  • Handle materials with care to avoid damage during transportation and installation.

Requested skills

Requirements
  • Must be registered or eligible for registration with the CCQ under trade code 304.
  • Proven experience in architectural metalwork installation (e.g., railings, stairs, handrails).
  • Strong knowledge of safety standards and proper tool handling.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver materials and equipment as needed.
  • Driver’s license (class 5) and reliable transportation.
  • Good physical condition and comfort working outdoors in varying conditions.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.

Assets
  • Ability to weld or fabricate minor adjustments on-site.
  • Experience with glass handling and installation.
