The impact you will have:

The Payroll Analyst (Contract) is responsible to support the Payroll Team with the processing of a semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll for Canada and the US, effectively and accurately. This person will support lend their solid knowledge of processing input, output, reporting and reconciliations to optimize the effectiveness of our payroll processes and systems. They are responsible for staying current with appropriate US and Canada payroll legislation and related government tax filings.

What you will do:

  • Participates in the activities of payroll processing using SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP) and ADP WorkForce Now (WFN).
  • Validates data between the HRIS SuccessFactors system and the payroll programs.
  • Makes necessary payroll entries to the payroll programs to support an accurate and on time payroll.
  • Prepare and submit ROEs after each payroll.
  • Monitor the Payroll email inbox and respond to payroll-related inquiries with the support of the payroll team.
  • Validate payroll records for all new hires, terminations, salary increases, deductions, direct deposit, earnings, and other related items.
  • Support to resolve US tax situations.
  • Support any off-cycle processing requirements.
  • Any other payroll requirements as assigned.


What you bring to the table:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in full cycle payroll with a solid understanding of US and Canadian payroll including regulatory tax compliance and employment standards.
  • USA payroll processing experience required
  • Success Factors/Employee Central Payroll (ECP) and ADP Workforce Now experience required
  • Strong excel skillset at the intermediate to senior level. Must be well versed in creating pivot tables and using the VLOOKUP function.
  • American Payroll Association designation and/or Canadian Payroll Association designation or equivalent
  • A track record of executing and delivering on agreed upon objectives within a specific timeline.
  • Strong attention-to-detail, accuracy, and prioritization skills
  • Effective analytical, assessment and organizational skills
  • Exceptional customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
  • A strong ability to multi-task within a fast paced, high volume, demanding environment
  • Initiative and ability to seek out and manage change
  • Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, Payroll or HR
