About the Role

As part of our continued growth, Soft Tex is expanding its management team and is looking for a Production Supervisor to join our day shift operations.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating daily production activities while fostering a safe, efficient, and engaging work environment. You will lead a team of approximately 25 employees and play a key role in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day production activities and provide support and guidance to team members;
  • Coordinate the onboarding, training, and development of new employees;
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies, quality standards, and operational procedures;
  • Foster employee engagement, accountability, and teamwork;
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and lead improvement initiatives;
  • Monitor productivity targets and implement corrective actions when required;
  • Participate actively in problem-solving and operational decision-making on the production floor;
  • Collaborate closely with fellow supervisors and support departments to optimize operations.

We are seeking a hands-on leader who is comfortable working on the shop floor, building strong relationships, and motivating teams to achieve their goals.

Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience;
  • Manufacturing experience (strong asset);
  • Experience with change management and/or continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Proficiency in French and the ability to communicate in English in order to provide leadership, training, and day-to-day support to a team that includes several employees who are recent immigrants;
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety best practices.

More details concerning your work schedule :
Night shift : From 3h45 PM to 1h30 AM, from Monday to Thursday, then Friday from 11h15 AM to 4h30 PM.
