Your role as a sales representative:

  • Soliciting clients and sales (Developing new relationships with clients).
  • Appropriately documenting all interactions with clients.
  • Contributing to client satisfaction and retention.
  • Providing basic assistance to clients.
  • Advising/recommending current and potential clients according to their needs.
  • Introducing new products.
  • Issuing credits when applicable.
  • Occasionally attending agricultural fairs or other promotional activities.
  • Providing regular sales activity reports to management.

Requested skills

Here's what you need:

  • Significant experience in agriculture or sales.
  • Bachelor's degree in agriculture or sales (an asset).
  • Basic knowledge of accounting.
  • Computer skills, experience with customer relationship management software, and ability to learn new software.
  • Listening and empathy skills.
  • Rigor and organization.
  • Negotiation skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong sense of customer service and organization.
