Sr. Systems Analyst for automation, coding, and design to support the implementation of Snowflake within a data program

Our large global law firm client is seeking a Sr. Systems Analyst for automation, coding, and design to support the implementation of Snowflake within a data program. This is an initial 6-month contract to start the first week of June.

While this role is primarily remote, occasional office visits may be needed from time to time but will be minimal. Therefore you need to live within driving distance of one of the following cities: Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal. Afterhours call support will also be required for the role occasionally. Note: This client works a 35 hour work week.

Must-Haves:

• At least 7 years’ experience in IT with 4+ years in a Solutions/Systems Analyst role
• A two year college diploma in a technology focused program, such as: computer programming, computer technologies, information systems, or business intelligence.
• SQL Server and SSIS experience (ideally SSRS as well)
• Experience with Azure Data Factory
• C# development and programming experience
• ETL conversion, pipeline, design, or similar experience

Nice-to-Haves:

• Snowflake experience
• Experience with PowerShell scripting
• Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate) and Power BI
• ITIL Certification
• Legal industry knowledge/ experience
• Bilingual (English/French) written and verbal communication skills

Scope Overview: Support the implementation of Snowflake within a Data Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operationalization of Snowflake from an IT perspective, including, but not limited to use case development, design, coding, ETL conversions, and standing up Azure Data Factory as a formal service offering from IT.
