Sr. Data Migration Specialist responsible for migration of data from legacy system to MS Dynamics 365 for our financial services client

Location: Downtown Toronto (hybrid)

Duration: 12 months (possibility of extension)

Job Description:

Reporting to the Director of Applications and IT Transformations, the ERP Data Migration Consultant, will be a part the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Anaplan, a performance planning tool.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the data readiness activities (assessment, cleansing, enrichment) for a workstream
• Liaise with System Implementation partner on future state data readiness requirements
• Maintain the data readiness backlog, including own and tasks of business SMEs
• Document the business requirements for migration to target state
• Document the source to target mapping for migration to target state and assessing data gaps
• Work with ERP architecture team to identify / review integration points
• Design, development and execution of data quality tests

Must Have Skills:

• 8+ years’ experience writing complex queries, stored procedures, and functions within a SQL Server environment.
• 5+ years’ experience with data migrations
• Experience migrating data from legacy ERP to MS Dynamics (F&O preferred)
• In-depth understanding of software development life cycles including Agile, project execution including software testing practices
• Knowledge of software configuration and release management methodologies
• Experience in interacting and coordinating data migration activities amongst multiple teams
