Sr. Cloud Architect (GCP, AWS) to Implement an automated platform (Google APIGEE) to allow teams to build, deploy and register API’s autonomously.

Key Skills Required:

- 10+ years’ experience

- 3+ years of HANDS ON Google APIGEE experience (how to troubleshoot runtime issues in hybrid setup)

- 7+ years’ GCP and AWS

- 7+ years experience troubleshooting kubernetes/openshift in cloud and on prem (both)

- 5+ years’ Automation tools: Teraform and Ansible

The API Management & Abstraction Modernization program is reimagining how to build, test, expose and manage the API lifecycle. This is a new program that is building/implementing a new API management ecosystem and platform.

Our objective is to implement a highly automated platform that enables API producer and consumer teams to build, deploy and register API’s in an autonomous fashion. Moving from the centralized API governance model to a federated governance model.

The platform vendor that has been selected is: Google APIGEE, because of it’s great mixture of capabilities and modern API management practices.

The ideal consultant will possess the following skills and experience:

- Cloud engineering and architecture experience in GCP and AWS

- Infrastructure automation and DevOps experience using GitLab

- Set up of the Service Manager application (JIRA Service Desk)

- Establishing problem ticket types and Q

- Defining platform data collection, monitoring, alerting and auto repair practices

- Building knowledge base of known problems and problematic patterns

- Tools incl: grafana, prometheus, elastic stack and trace capture tooling like jaeger
