Sr. Business Analyst to support the change implementation for a Capital Markets Regulatory program for our large banking client - BNSJP00033859

Location Address: 6 days a month (very flexible)

Contract Duration: 6 Months




Business group: The Regulatory Initiatives team oversees implementation of Regulatory changes to the bank's internal processes. The projects range from small troubleshooting to larger implementation projects.

The Project: The current project will have the successful candidate leading the project work stream for a technical implementation. This project would oversee the change implementation for the Capital Markets Regulatory program.

Candidate Value Proposition: The successful candidate will gain experience with a wide reaching project, working with multiple teams and stakeholders to ensure the changes are implemented successfully.

Must Have Skills:

  • 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • 5 years experience working in a Capital Markets environment
  • Prior experience with Data/Process mapping
  • Prior experience with Postman, Fenergo, and or Droit
  • Strong familiarity with PowerBI and SharePoint

Nice to Have Skills

  • Prior experience working on a Regulatory Implementation project

Best vs Average: The ideal candidate would be a senior Business Analyst having worked previously within one of the big 5 Canadian Banks on a Cap Markets project

Typical Day in the Role:

Works with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies

Gathers requirements from business units and documents findings related to the project

Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities

Reporting on work stream status to internal stakeholder, preparing presentations on project updates

The successful candidate will also be responsible for raising any risks and areas of concern related to the project


Education:

University degree in business, finance or other relevant field preferred
