Our municipal client is hiring an Senior (8+ years) Systems Analyst to support Fire Systems projects initiatives including installation, configuration, development, testing and deployment.

6 month contract with strong possibility of extension, Onsite in Burnaby, 35 hours per week

Must-Haves:

• 8+ years' experience in developing and/or implementing and deploying Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) business applications
• 5+ years of SQL proficiency
• Experience working with ESRI/GIS or GeoMedia or iMapEditor applications

Nice to have:

• Completion of a university degree at the Bachelor’s level in computer science or a related discipline
• Public Safety applications experience

Responsibilities:

• This position will be responsible for supporting Fire Systems projects and initiatives. Work will include installation, configuration, development, testing and deployment; scripting; go-live preparation and go-live dry run of these applications in various environments (i.e. Development, Test, QA, Production etc.).
• Setup will be performed on hardware such as servers, workstations and tablets.
• Consultant will be collaborating and may time to time work closely with Fire IT Support, Testing, Training, DBA, Infrastructure, Security, GIS, Desktop and Server team.
• Additional tasks will be to assist in documenting, consolidating, and reviewing needs and documenting current architecture environments.
