Description
Our valued federal government client requires a Senior Security Architect to enhance the security posture of IT systems and manage IT Security Authorization and Accreditation (SA&A) assessments.
Background:
This project supports the testing, rollout, and support of consignment management technology (CMA), a COTS shipment tracking software utilized by the military across NATO countries. When paired with automated RFID hardware tags, CMA facilitates automated In Transit Visibility tracking for specific material shipments worldwide. Following a thorough review and in-depth analysis of their security protocols, the organization recognized the importance of maintaining ongoing Security Authorization and Accreditation (SA&A) processes to ensure regular security assessments are conducted in response to any system modifications.
Tasks:
- Conduct and/or manage IT Security Authorization and Accreditation (SA&A) assessments that include, but are not limited to, the following: security impact assessments, threat risk assessments, vulnerabilities assessments, privacy impact assessments, business impact assessments, and compliance testing of security requirements.
- Review, analyze, create, and/or update relevant SA&A documentation, such as: Concept of Operations, IT Security Architecture, Statement of Sensitivity, and Statement of Acceptable Risk
- Analyze, review, and make recommendations vis-a-vis the IT Security posture of a system.
- Assess compliance with applicable security policies and standards
Must-Haves:
- IT Security Architecture (10+ years)
- Security Assessment and Authorization (SA&A) (10+ years)
- Cyber Security Certification (CISSP, CIPPC, etc.) (1+ cert)
Nice-to-Have:
- Security Protocols (ITSG, NIST, etc.)
