Senior SAP OO ABAP Technical Consultant to lead and develop end-to-end technical projects from ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4HANA

Our valued client is seeking a Senior SAP OO ABAP Technical Consultant to lead and develop end-to-end technical projects from ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4HANA

A permanent position. Fully on-site (first 3 months) followed by a hybrid work schedule (3 days per week on site) in Ottawa, ON

Responsibilities:

• Apply technical knowledge to develop / ensure that the developed solution performs efficiently and that customers are satisfied with developed solution.
• Works with customers and functional staff in the resolution of software problems and respond to suggestions for software modifications or enhancements.
• Provides technical guidance to offshore development team.
• Evaluates and recommends changes to development standards. Evaluates and recommends changes to established methods to achieve departmental / BU objectives.
• Provides technical consulting on complex projects.
• Adhere to processes within the Business System environment to ensure sustainable compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
• Lead and develop end-to-end technical projects from ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4HANA, focusing on Fiori, OData, and ABAP technologies, ensuring meticulous planning, execution, and delivery within defined timelines and budget constraints.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders and technical teams, understanding business requirements, and translating them into effective technical strategies, particularly in Fiori, OData, and ABAP integration.
• Develop and implement business solutions, technical methodologies, frameworks, and best practices, with a specialized emphasis on Fiori, OData v4, and ABAP integration.
• Provide expert guidance and mentorship to technical team members, ensuring effective teamwork and knowledge transfer, especially in Fiori, OData, and ABAP integration to help ensure successful project delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges during the project, focusing on seamless Fiori, OData, and ABAP integration, ensuring optimal user experience and system functionality post-implementation.
• Oversee risk assessment and mitigation strategies, ensuring a smooth technical project with minimal disruptions to business operations.
• Establish and maintain effective communication channels to provide regular updates to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Must Have Skills

• 7+ years experience as an SAP OO ABAP Technical Consultant with SAP implementation lifecycle projects
• Experience with SAP UI5 and XML
• Experience developing and enhancing ABAP reports, SAP queieries and function modules

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in the defense industry
