Description
Our public sector client is seeking a Senior Application Support Analyst to lead a team of Application Support specialists for a Java-based payment system
Candidates must be local to Calgary. Hybrid work model (Candidates will work from home the majority of the time - no set days for in-office work). 37.5 hour work week.
Must haves:
- 5+ years of Application Support experience focusing on Java and JavaScript web-based applications
- 5+ years of experience as a team lead (coaching, mentoring) Junior support analysts
- 5+ years of experience supporting cloud-based applications (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
Nice to haves:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to support multiple applications
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with team members to organize resolution of application incidents.
• Develop rules and SLAs that equip support services teams to balance scheduled and unscheduled requests
• Provide clear support documentation for all applications.
• Prepare the required team schedule to ensure prompt response to tickets.
• Create performance management metrics for support services staff to increase management visibility into performance.
• Plan, test, and implement system upgrades and troubleshoot integration points with other systems.
• Plan and coordinate tasks for your team and act as a mentor to team members.
• Plan and schedule regular maintenance tasks, perform overall health checks of the systems and perform root cause analysis.
• Recommend standards, policies, and procedures.
