Senior Business Analyst to lead process review and improvement initiatives for Public Sector Client

Term: 2.75 months


Must Haves:

  • Lead requirements elicitation activities with stakeholders by deploying a broad range of requirements elicitation tools and techniques. Various business elicitation techniques may include but are not limited to brainstorming, stakeholder evaluation, problem identification, process mapping, use cases/user story/business scenario development, and workshop facilitation. Document business requirements and obtain sign-off on Business Requirement documents, Use Cases and Functional Specification documents to confirm they are complete, accurate and a true representation of clients’ business requirements.
  • Lead process review and improvement initiatives. Evaluate and document business processes current state and uncover areas for improvements, prepare detailed requirements analysis for solutioning. Identify opportunities and strategies to improve business efficiency. Collaborate with clients and vendors to facilitate the re-engineering of or identification of net new business processes, services, systems and business requirements. Transform business and stakeholder requirements into system requirements, and create quality documentation (e.g., Current and Future State Architectures, and Business Process Models)
  • University completion at undergraduate level with a specialty focus in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Commerce, Science or Social Science, and an Advanced or Associates’ Certificate in Business Analysis endorsed by IIBA.
  • Provide systems, business, technical and analytical expertise to staff, management, workers, employers, representatives, vendors and government agencies. Participate in corporate and divisional projects, initiatives and system support
  • Perform requirements analysis to ensure quality of the requirements by using a broad range of analysis techniques such as Business Process Modelling notation (BPMN), UML, Data Flow diagram, gap analysis, root cause analysis. Provide input for IT Solutioning by delivering Business Requirements and necessary solution requirements. Collaborate with Business SMEs from sponsoring Line of Business, Delivery Manager, Solution Architect, IT Security, and Shared Services Planning to ensure the Solution is evaluated prior delivery and is built on a firm understanding of business requirements.
