Senior Application/Software Architect to design and develop web applications and configure content management systems with Drupal

Our Valued Public Sector Client is seeking a Senior Application/Software Architect to design and develop web applications and configure content management systems with Drupal

The objective of this service request is to support the decommissioning of the classic ASP - Active Server Pages - technology - currently in use as the technological framework for the client's Corporate Website - and replace it by a cloud-based instance of Drupal WxT - Web Experience Toolkit.

Must Haves:

• 5 years within the last 10 as an Application/Software architect designing and developing applications with Drupal
• 5 years within the last 10 as an Application/Software architect configuring content management systems with Drupal
• 2 years within the last 10 within a cloud centric architecture designing and developing web applications and configuring content management systems
• 2 projects within the last 10 years migrating web content to Drupal

Tasks Include but are not limited to:

· Assist in the movement and conversion of all current client Corporate Website content.

· Provide assistance with a migration strategy from client Corporate Website to Drupal (XML based or through other mechanisms)

· Transfer the functional components of the client Corporate Website that can be established in the Drupal WCMS - Web Content Management System.

· Provide assistance developing a migration testing process to verify that all client Corporate Website content migrations are successful.

· Provide guidance and expertise to client in the implementation of Drupal in the Azure Cloud.

· Provide guidance and expertise on the overall web management to-be architecture, including headless versus full Content Management Systems (CMS).

· Provide a fully functional Drupal environment in the Azure Cloud using GCERB - Government of Canada Enterprise Review Board-approved architecture and assist the client in determining required modules

· Create and deploy servers in the Azure Cloud.

· Use Ci/CD for deploying different verticals (using approvals for UAT/Prod releases)

· Automate deployments using Infrastructure as Code

· Develop a Concept of Operations which will include a knowledge transfer.

· Provide a report with fully functioning Drupal environment.
