Jr. Project Manager to ensure project deliverables meet business requirements for an I&IT Fixed Asset Maintenance workstream - RQ00059

Location: Toronto - Hybrid (2 days per week on-site)

Duration: 6 months (possibility of extension)

Hours: 7.25 per day

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures project deliverables meet business requirements on time, scope, and budget, with a focus on cost-effectiveness, efficiencies and compliance with I&IT project management methodologies and frameworks.
  • Conducting workshops with business users and contractors to identify gaps, documenting current state processes, capturing tables, and other Microsoft Power Business Intelligence (MS PBI) requirements.
  • Attend meetings and capture meeting actions, data, flows, and technical details related to Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and PBI.
  • Update and create data migration playbooks that include EAM tables, fields, and table relationships for existing, and new, MS PBI KPIs and reports.
  • Support data quality process to verify, confirm and quality assure that the provided data and data sets meet the requirements and activities set above.
  • Support, work closely and coordinate with functional business users and other contractors working on the OnCorr program, on the KPIs, reports and PBI deliverables to keep documents, and related data details up to date.
  • Support program I&IT assurance activities (e.g: analysis of data around the program’s contractual requirements, updating submittals from contractor working on the program).
  • Preparing documentation needed for the delivery lifecycle and handover to users and operations.
  • Update SharePoint files and folders related to the ongoing work.
  • Support other activities, e.g: enterprise data governance, training, and other non-EAM related activities.
  • Proactively identifies potential risk events and issues before they occur so that proper mitigating strategies can be developed.
  • Articulates and prioritizes issues and risks and recommends mitigation strategies to the Program Portfolio Manager and Delivery Lead.



Must have skills:

  • 3-5 years’ experience developing and managing project schedules, deliverables, and scope (coordination/workshop)
  • Experience in conducting BA activities; gathering, eliciting, and analyzing business and functional requirements; understanding, interpreting, and documenting scope, objectives, benefits, risks and others of project relevance.
  • Experience with KPI Mapping (Microsoft PowerBI KPI's/reports)
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence
  • Expertise in Scrum Agile project delivery methodology
  • Experience with Microsoft solutions: Power BI, Microsoft Azure
  • Knowledge of database theory, SQL queries and design concepts.
  • Understands how data is stored and migrated in Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS)
  • Ability to promote I&IT project management best practices and adherence to standard methodologies (understanding of Project Management Institute’s Project Management Body of Knowledge)
  • Ability to handle client relationships to manage expectations, provides updates as required, identifies potential conflicts between project and functional areas.
  • Knowledge of the overall SDLC methodology and framework
