Our client has an immediate requirement for an Intermediate Technical Analyst (5+ years) with Network (Cisco/Fortinet) and Server (VMware/AD) experience to provide technical Tier II support for an oil & gas client.

12-month assignment with possibility to transition to a permanent role

Must Have:

· Minimum 5+ years of Technical Analyst experience

· 5+ years configuring and troubleshooting Cisco switches

· Experience with VMWare/vSphere, Windows 2019/2022, Veeam

· Certifications; CCNA+, NSE4+

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with Fortinet
• Oil and gas experience

Responsibilities:

• Senior Technical Analyst is responsible for providing advanced technical support services and implementation for current and future applications and systems across several disciplines.
• This role directly supports all Calgary, Fort Saint John and operations site staff to identify and achieve IT objectives and service-level goals.
• Coordinate the development, deployment, administration, maintenance and optimization of all PCE and PEC systems, applications, infrastructure, telecommunication, network, and firewalls.
• Manage and set priorities for the design, maintenance, development and evaluation of all infrastructure systems such as desktops, servers, LANs, WANs, Internet, intranet, security, wireless and voice communications
• Provide Tier 2 support and Tier 1 support for end users
• Configure and troubleshoot IT infrastructure such as network switches (Cisco, Fortinet) using tools like Wireshark, network firewalls and VPNs (Cisco, FortiGate and others), and wireless devices, network and security
• Provide technical organizational system support such as Active Directory administration, integration and automation, network Group Policy, scripting and AD integration
