Our client is looking for Intermediate Quantitative Data Analyst to conduct quantitative data analysis and management in support of long term load forecasting.-20335


4 months contract (likely will extend), Hybrid or Remote within BC


Requirements:


  • 5+years of strategic data analysis experience
  • 2+ years’ experience in quantitative analysis
  • 5+ years’ experience with excel skills
  • Excellent English skills for professional environment, written and spoken
  • Academic backgrounds in Math, statistics, economics, or engineering.


Nice to have:

  • Experience with Tableau and SAS


Responsibilities:


  • Produce long term energy and demand forecasts that are foundational to our revenue requirements, long term resource plans, capital plans and customer initiatives. \
  • Produce load forecast variance reports, developing 20 year electricity and peak demand forecasts for select communities
  • Responsible for quantitative analysis.
  • Responsibilities for data management and analysis in support of our load forecast scenarios.
  • Implement improvements to temperature normalization process.
  • Translate business insights into strategic, actionable options by obtaining and organizing key business information, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Facilitate decision-making across diverse groups of stakeholders by using excellent skills in communication, critical thinking, and persuasive influencing to deliver recommendations that align to the business goals.
  • Maintain meaningful business relationships by prioritizing strategic considerations in a complex environment with diverse groups of stakeholders so that projects are implemented as planned.
  • Plan and organize business initiatives by using knowledge in business drivers, risk tolerance, and trade-off processes, to enable successful integration and adoption in BC Hydro’s complex and regulated environment.
