Intermediate Project Manager to consult on the procurement activities and timelines associated to scientific, test, and evaluation equipment for the public

Our valued public sector client requires an Intermediate Project Manager to consult on the procurement activities and timelines associated to scientific, test, and evaluation equipment.

Background:

This client provides a wide range of technology-based test and investigative services to other Government of Canada departments in support of engineering decisions throughout all phases of materiel acquisition and support. Their scientists, engineers, technologists, and technicians require assistance to replace the capital equipment and to procure related services. To service this, they are requiring the assistance of an Intermediate Project Manager to consult on business and technical analyses, equipment life cycle planning, procurement, and project management for the procurement of scientific, test, and evaluation equipment.

Tasks:

• Apply project management practices to procurement activities including financial estimates, business requirements and contracting options.
• Prepare draft selection methodologies, evaluation plans, evaluation criteria, and evaluation schedules for procurement.
• Plan, coordinate, prepare and control documentation for procurement of capital equipment.
• Prepare, review, and finalize procurement documents for potential procurement of capital equipment procurement, software licenses, and maintenance packages. Procurement documents might include Statements of Requirement (SOR), business cases, briefing notes, cost models and synopsis sheets; Statements of Work (SOW), specifications, etc.

Must-Haves:

• Project Manager (5+ years)
• Risk Assessments on Scientific Equipment (5+ years)
• PMP or PRINCE2
• CRM or PMI-RMP
• University Degree (Science or Engineering)
• Secret clearance
