Intermediate IT Application Architect to design and integrate a Microsoft-based landscape

Our Oil & Gas downtown Calgary client is seeking an Intermediate IT Application Architect to design and integrate a Microsoft-based landscape for an initial contract to Dec 2024 with a possibility of extension.

The successful candidate will be based in Calgary and agreeable to following a hybrid working model (3 days in office).

Must-Haves:

• 6+ years’ IT Application Architecture experience
• 2+ years’ with Microsoft-based applications and landscape environments, including SaaS solutions
• Experience designing and integrating enterprise and Microsoft applications
• Experience creating ecosystems drawings and visuals for technology application landscapes

Nice-to-Haves:

• Dynamics 365 experience
• Oil and Gas industry experience

Position Overview: Build stakeholder diagrams, transpose into architectural diagrams for leadership teams spanning the Microsoft landscape, corporate applications, and various SaaS solutions.

Responsibilities Overview:

• Provide the vision, evolution and communication of the technical architecture, creating the strategy and portfolio-level technical roadmaps for technology.
• Ensures solutions are scalable, maintainable for complex business and functional applications.
• Works with Business Partners, Enterprise Architecture, other Solution Architects from various projects to create, drive and communicate the overall architectural vision.
• Engage with System and Solution Architects, ensuring emergent design choices are made with an understanding of the overall architectural strategy and roadmap, minimizing technology complexity, and avoiding unnecessary duplication of capabilities or solutions.
• Ability to eliminate redundancy and reduce IT costs.
• Ability to create ecosystem drawings and visuals for technology application landscape.
• Sets the IT vision and goals based on business and investment roadmaps.
