Duration: 10 months- until 31st March 2025


Remote/Hybrid: Hybrid - In Office on Wednesday's and Thursday (Flexible)


Office Location: 81 Bay St. 5th floor



Job Description:

The Data Strategy and Solution team is responsible for modernizing the Finance application assets with the best-in-class applications and technology. It introduces new technology and processes to advance the strategic Finance Technology Roadmap architecture in the collection, governance, distribution and reporting of data. As the Business Analyst, you are a member of the Data Strategy and Solution Team who play a key role in managing the relationship with senior members of various Finance, Technology departments and external vendors (SAP, Fioneer and PWC) to drive changes through the delivery of change initiatives and assigned project in application assessment, requirements gathering, solution design and re-engineering as well as testing to deploy new functionalities and to capitalize on new processing opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Works with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies

• Gathers requirements from business units and translates those to programmers and developers

• Prepares cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation

• Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities

• Supports one or more highly complex business processes

• Works on multiple projects as a project team member

• Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs


Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred

• 8-10 years experience required

• Basic knowledge of programming languages in order to comprehend reading code and basic functions

• Ability to create business solutions that increase competitive advantage

• Ability to exercise good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions

• Project management skills in order to handle diverse projects, often times simultaneously, and meet aggressive deadlines

• Ability to solve technical problems/ processes and understand complex details

• Ability to increase operating efficiency with produce high quality technical solutions

• A high level of interpersonal and verbal communication skills necessary to relate to other people at their systems knowledge level

Must Have Requirement:

- Strong experience in Requirement gathering

- Experience working with executive level stakeholders

- Proficient with Excel, Power point, and Word

- Experience managing 3rd party vendors

Former experience at banking preferred // financial industry experience


Nice to Have:

• SAP background will be a great asset but can be taught during the assignment if needed

• Financial Accounting application Knowledge

• Experience working on large scale projects is preferred

• Former experience as a BSA is a strong asset for this role
