BUS DRIVER

School District No. 38 (Richmond) is looking for a permanent, full-time bus driver to join our transportation department to transport students within the district’s 47 school facilities and on field trips. Please note this position has a split shift with a minimum of 30 hours/week with the opportunity to work increased hours upon completion of probation.

Required Qualifications:

  • A valid BC Class 2 Drivers License with an air brake endorsement;
  • At least one (1) years work experience in the operation of passenger busses;
  • Demonstrated safe driving history as represented by a Drivers abstract from the Motor Vehicle branch;
  • Practical working knowledge of school bus maintenance and repair requirements;
  • The ability to deal in a friendly, courteous and effective manner with a variety of passenger situations;
  • A good knowledge of the Greater Vancouver geographic locations, road and traffic patterns.



This is a unionized split-shift position that offers a 30-hour work week with an hourly wage rate of $29.25, plus a comprehensive benefits package including Municipal Pension, health, dental, vacation, and sick benefits.
