Salary Range: $59,711 to $109,520 (range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance to the collective agreement)

Required Abilities, Qualifications and Experience:
- Extensive academic training, professional preparation, and qualifications in teaching in all areas of this assignment.
- Knowledge of, and demonstrated application of, the Ministry of Education's current philosophy, teaching practices, and evaluation/assessment/reporting procedures as applied to all areas of this assignment.
- Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to implement teaching practices that align with the Professional Standards for BC Educators.
- Certified with a BC or Inter-Provincial Trade Qualification in cooking and food preparation, or equivalent trade.
- Certified as a FoodSafe Instructor.
- demonstrated strong academic training and qualifications in Culinary Arts
- thorough knowledge and minimum of two years experience in teaching Culinary Arts at the secondary school level
- evidence of knowledge in the management of a Cafeteria Foods service program, including ordering food, billing, product knowledge and food costing
- ability and willingness to organize and facilitate banquets outside of the school day for groups as large as 400
- knowledge and understanding of Industry Standards related to Hospitality Foods service
- demonstrated excellent classroom management, behaviour management and classroom organizational skills
- demonstrated commitment to the use of technology to enhance and leverage effective instructional practice
- and track student learning as well as part of a larger initiative to communicate consistently and effectively
- with parents
- demonstrated ability to motivate, and provide success for struggling learners
- an exemplary work ethic with proven ability to work as an effective team member
- demonstrated strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills
- demonstrated ability to recognize individual student differences and effectively differentiate instruction and
- assessment, including competency-based assessments, to meet the learning needs of all students in a
- diverse classroom for all subjects in this assignment
- demonstrated commitment to a vertically aligned curriculum
- demonstrated willingness to explore and implement concepts from the new curriculum including awareness
- of and experience working with the First Peoples Principles of Learning
