Job summary:

SAP is seeking an experienced Product Marketing Manager to drive the marketing strategy, messaging, and demand generation for our Customer Experience (CX) software solutions tailored to the Consumer Industries sector (CPG, Retail, Fashion, Wholesale). This role requires some experience in enterprise SaaS marketing, a high-level understanding of consumer industries [ CPG, Retail, Fashion, Wholesale ] business processes, and the ability to develop full-stack marketing plans that span the entire buyer’s journey-from awareness to adoption. The ability to work across other product areas and managers with a focus on Revenue Growth Management, Consumer Experience, Customer Data Management, Marketing Engagement, Commerce, Merchandising, and AI-driven solutions for consumer industries.

What you’ll build:

Marketing Strategy & Execution:

· Develop end-to-end marketing strategies for SAP’s CX solutions in the consumer industries sector.

· Define messaging, positioning, and value propositions that resonate with key buyer personas (e.g., CMOs, CRO’s, Revenue Growth Managers, Merchandisers).

· Lead competitive intelligence and differentiation strategies to position SAP as the leader in consumer industries CX solutions.

· Collaborate with demand generation teams to execute field-level event-based and digital marketing campaigns

Content development:

· Create high-impact marketing and sales assets like whitepapers, case studies, battle cards, videos, webinars, and product briefs.

· Act as subject matter specialist, collaborating with product management, sales, and corporate marketing to define content across the buyer’s journey

Sales Enablement & Market Intelligence:

· Develop sales enablement tools (playbooks, training, ROI calculators) to empower SAP’s sales teams.

· Conduct market and customer intelligence to identify trends, pain points, and opportunities in consumer industries.

· Work closely with product management, sales, and industry teams to refine GTM strategies based on market feedback.

· Work closely with partner marketing to drive initiatives to amplify reach and adoption.

Industry & Solution Expertise:

· Functional understanding of consumer industries business processes, specifically desirable are:

  • Revenue Growth Management (RGM)
  • Consumer Experience & Customer Data Management
  • Marketing & Customer Engagement
  • Commerce & Merchandising
  • AI-driven solutions (Agentic AI, predictive analytics, personalization)
  • Ability to translate functional software capabilities into compelling customer value propositions.

Performance Analysis & Optimization:

· Track and analyze marketing performance metrics (lead gen, pipeline influence, campaign ROI).

· Continuously refine messaging, content, and GTM strategies based on data-driven insights.

Accountability

· Become an internally recognized expert in CX business processes and associated industry-specific innovations sought after by customers.

· Capable of engaging up and across the organizational structure with a leadership mindset.

· Ability to establish a clear connection between their work and team performance metrics, including proactive mitigation for underperforming situations.

What you bring

· 3-5 years of experience in product marketing within enterprise SaaS software, preferably in CX, CRM, or consumer industry solutions.

· Strong storytelling and content creation skills with the ability to craft customer-centric narratives.

· Functional industry knowledge of CPG, Retail, Fashion, or Wholesale, including high-level business processes and pain points.

· Competent cross-functional collaboration skills with product, sales, and industry teams.

· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field.

Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount, and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
