Our expectations
- Ensure safe, timely, and efficient delivery of goods between RONA distribution centers, stores and customer locations.
- Maintain high standards of safety and compliance with all transportation laws and RONA policies.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and always represent RONA in a professional manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, report maintenance issues promptly and ensure vehicles are kept clean in good working conditions.
- Work collaboratively with dispatch, warehouse, and store teams to ensure delivery accuracy and efficiency.
As a Fleet Driver, you will be responsible for transporting products to and from RONA locations throughout western Canada using company vehicles. You’ll ensure that all deliveries are completed safely, on schedule and in accordance with company procedures. You will also assist with loading/unloading as required, verify documentation such as BOLs and maintain accurate delivery records. This role requires reliability, attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
The qualifications we are looking for
- Valid Class 1 (or Class AZ) driver’s license with a clean driving abstract.
- Minimum 2.5 years of professional driving experience, preferably in a retail or distribution environment.
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and safety procedures.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles and safely handle loads using material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, liftgates).
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or holidays if required.
- Physically able to lift and move heavy goods when needed.
