The Strategic Sourcing team plays a central role in shaping purchasing strategies that are aligned with the company’s priorities and cost optimization for indirect spend. In the midst of a transformation, we are seeking a passionate, dynamic, collaborative, and results‑oriented strategic sourcing professional to actively contribute to our vision, support our internal stakeholders, and strengthen partnerships with our suppliers. This position will be reporting to the Director, Strategic Sourcing.
Your Role :
Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business priorities (quality, cost, lead times, compliance, ethics).
Serve as a strategic business partner to business units and engage early in intake and annual planning cycle to understand needs, consolidate demand and build a category roadmad.
Analyze spend, demand, and market conditions to help with the sourcing decisions and maximize enterprise value.
Lead or support competitive sourcing events (RFI/RFP/RFQ), design simple and fair evaluation models, and provide recommendations for stakeholders.
Lead strategic negotiations to optimize commercial and contractual terms and secure robust agreements.
Make timely and well-informed sourcing decisions, maintaining a proactive rather than reactive posture.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and the company’s strategic suppliers.
Contribute to the implementation of supplier management routines, track commitments, and address issues during the contract.
Work closely with internal teams (Legal, Finance, IT, Operations) to ensure consistency, compliance, and alignment.
Contribute to change management, evolution of policies, guides and templates, and deliver targeted training to embed best practices across the organization.
Reinforce sourcing governance to accelerate outcomes, reduce risk and increase enterprise value.
Lead selected improvement initiatives on the three-year roadmap to simplify processes, reduce cycle times, and maximize value realization.
The qualificaions we're looking for :
Hold a university degree in business administration, supply chain management, law or another relevant field;
Have seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in strategic sourcing and category management
Demonstrated expertise in developing procurement strategies, conducting strategic negotiations, and managing competitive tendering processes (RFI/RFP/RFQ).
Excellent analytical skills, sound judgment, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
Comfortable working in a transforming environment with evolving ways of working.
Strong organizational skills, a commitment to quality, and solid decision‑making abilities.
Team player with collaborative leadership and the ability to influence.
Experience in retail and distribution (an asset).
Fluency in French and English, spoken and written.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and an ERP ( Oracle, an asset).
