Our Expectations

The National Account Manager is responsible for managing sales with clients within the company’s current portfolio as well as developing new business.

Clients covered by National Agreements include Associations or Corporations in one or several of our main verticals (Multi Residential Property Management, Long Term Care, Constructions, all levels of Government, Restoration and Hospitality) and clients operating through tendering and bid processes for their purchasing activities.

The Role

Develop a prospecting strategy to grow sales with associations, groups with locations across Canada, franchise groups, etc.

  • Establish a strong network of contacts to develop this new sales segment

  • Identify business opportunities and promote the company’s products, programs and support client initiatives

  • Plan, prepare and present quarterly business reviews with National Accounts based on client needs

  • Build partnership agreements and/or contracts in line with the organization’s culture

  • Set up and effectively implement new agreements in internal systems to enable in-store implementation

  • Build price lists based on the needs of each client group and review them according to the contract schedule

  • Provide customer service to members of associations and clients within buying groups

  • Achieve defined sales targets in terms of revenue and profitability

  • Conduct regular follow-ups with existing and prospective clients

  • Participate in association events as needed

  • Coordinate marketing requests for websites, magazines, and any other needs according to requirements of each agreement

  • Perform any other related duties as needed to drive value and strong partnerships with National Accounts and Associations.

Skills We Are Looking For

  • 7 to 10 years of experience in B2B field sales

  • College-level education

  • Knowledge of the hardware/home improvement industry is an asset

  • Knowledge of the association and institutional sectors is an asset

  • Customer- and sales-oriented approach

  • Strong analytical skills and information management abilities

  • Demonstrated perseverance

  • Good knowledge of computer tools such as Excel and Word

  • Ability to build excellent professional relationships

  • Goal-driven and well organized

  • Excellent communication skills, including strong presentation abilities

  • Strong business and commercial acumen

  • Mobility (field-based role)
