Our expectations:
Reporting to the Inventory Manager, the Inventory Control Supervisor leads a high-performance team of Coordinators and Cycle Counters to guarantee inventory accuracy. This role involves managing the execution of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for cycle counts to verify that the quantity and quality of products within distribution centers (DCs) meet established requirements. The incumbent is also responsible for developing and controlling the budget for inventory losses by meticulously tracking gains and losses and overseeing the organization of distribution center inventory cycle counts, as well as investigating all inventory adjustments. Furthermore, the Supervisor provides support to all facilities within the region and is responsible for the supervision of the Inventory control team.

Shift: Monday to Friday 6:30 am to 3:30 pm
Your role:

Lead and develop the Inventory Control team, providing coaching and ensuring their professional development.

Direct all inventory procedures and transactions, including cycle counts, slotting optimization, vendor compliance, and transfer management.

Manage the inventory loss budget, overseeing its creation, monitoring, and reporting.

Quantify inventory gains and losses in monetary terms and communicate these to inventory manager.

Generate and maintain comprehensive inventory reports, providing critical data on inventory levels, stock-outs, and turnover to inform decision-making.

Investigate and resolve all store inventory claims and manage store credits effectively.

Identify the root causes of inventory discrepancies and collaborate with the Operations team to implement effective corrective actions.

Develop, review, and reconcile key inventory reports, including system synchronisation, counting schedules, inventory accuracy, financial inventory counts, warehouse management systems data, and facility utilization.

Investigate and resolve chargebacks in supplier accounts payable related to inventory discrepancies.

Coordinate inventory maintenance counts as required.

Review and approve reconciliation adjustments based on cycle count discrepancies.

Supervise the efficient layout of inventory to optimize space and accessibility.

Ensure consistent performance and accuracy of the Inventory Control team's work.

Oversee additional quality control processes to guarantee the integrity of inventory management.
The qualifications we are looking for :
-
At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory position in an inventory control-related function within a distribution environment

5-7 years of inventory experience in a warehouse environment.

Experience with a warehouse management system (WMS) (required); experience with Blue Yonder (a strong asset)

Post-secondary training (business administration or supply chain management) an asset, or equivalent experience

Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with MS Access/Excel

Ability to multitask and handle changes well.

Proven record for complying with safety requirements, and ability to build a culture of safety among peers.

Excellent time-management and organizational skills

Analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and creatively resolve complex problems.
