Building attendant, DDC
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the DDC Building Attendant is responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of infrastructure. The Attendant must perform general maintenance tasks at DDC sites in Quebec. He or she ensures that facilities are in good working order and that buildings are clean.
Your role:
• Regularly inspect buildings and equipment at various sites.
• Maintain identified equipment on a regular basis and keep a record of this maintenance.
• Participate in the planning and execution of preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose breakdowns, identify their causes, and propose solutions.
• Perform necessary repairs or equipment replacement.
• Perform minor renovation work (painting, installing coverings, repairing partitions, etc.).
• Manage equipment inventory and relationships with suppliers and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with current safety and compliance standards, in partnership with the Asset Protection and Health and Safety teams.
• Perform all other related tasks.
The skills we are looking for:
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in building maintenance or a related field.
• A technical diploma or skill cards (an asset)
• A valid driver's license.
• Strong technical skills (electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting, etc.).
• Demonstrate a high degree of autonomy and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively manage emergencies.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills.
• Possess basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
Working conditions:
Full-time position, 40 hours per week
Daytime schedule, with availability in the evenings or on weekends for emergencies
Frequent travel between different sites. Based at the Boisbriand or Châteauguay site.
