RONA is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Pricing Analyst. This individual will support our pricing strategy by providing analytical insights and optimizing pricing across specific categories. The ideal candidate will have experience in large organizations (preferably retail), strong data analysis skills, and the ability to collaborate across internal teams. The role reports to the Pricing Manager and supports the Senior Pricing Analyst in daily tasks.

Your Role:

Pricing Data Analytics, Development & Optimization:

  • Collect and analyze sales and competitor data to provide strategic pricing recommendations.

  • Assist in developing pricing policies based on company objectives.

  • Identify opportunities for price optimization through profit analysis, price sensitivity, and competitive positioning.

  • Review daily pricing requests from the Merchandising team, providing recommendations and approvals.

  • Support the Senior Analyst with deep dive analysis on repricing.

  • Address store and merchant concerns regarding the current pricing strategy.

Reporting & Monitoring:

  • Prepare regular reports on pricing position and profitability for internal teams.

  • Analyze the impact of pricing actions on sales and margins.

  • Monitor market trends using competitor and consumer insights.

  • Ensure timely execution of price changes and create related reports.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with finance, merchandising, and marketing teams to ensure alignment with the pricing strategy.

Performance Metrics:

The Qualifications we're looking for :

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, business intelligence, statistics, finance, marketing, or related field.

  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar pricing role in a large corporation.

  • Proficiency in advanced analytical tools (Excel, SQL, Python).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Retail experience is an asset.

  • Strong proficiency in Excel and Microsoft programs.

  • Analytical skills to understand pricing models and extract key insights from large datasets.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment and work under pressure.

  • Strong business acumen.
