What will you do?

  • Participate in the development of strategic business plans and subsequent talent strategies in order to drive a proactive approach to human resources and team member relations.
  • Provide expertise and guidance to senior management and client group as a strategic partner and coach
  • Partner with client group to identify, design and execute strategies that drive business results which include succession planning, talent management, team member relations, performance management, team member engagement, training delivery and coaching.
  • Proactively utilize a wide range of HR data to identify themes, trends and correlations to make recommendations and effectively support HR strategies and programs to meet the business needs.
  • Contribute to the delivery of talent strategies through insights, data and solutions to leaders on priorities and needs.
  • Manage programs and projects including planning, implementation, coordination, communication and
  • Lead and support organizational change initiatives, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Actively contribute to the overall strategic direction of HR for the business.
  • Oversee and manage diverse HR projects, programs and initiatives.
  • Regular travel to branch locations within the client group (Cambridge, Oshawa & Head Office).

 

 

What do you bring?

  • Postsecondary education with a focus on Business, Human Resources (CHRL designation preferred) and equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a Human Resources in a generalist or HRBP role. Union experience an asset.
  • Proven ability to strategically influence and partner with senior leadership to improve business results.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation (e.g. Human Rights Code, Employment Standards Act, Employment Equity legislation, etc.)
  • Strong business acumen, with an ability to accurately coach and deliver new and ongoing HR programs to your assigned client groups.
  • An aptitude for solving complex problems, analyzing, and providing people insights to business leaders.
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills to deal effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to effectively perform in a complex, high change environment while being a positive steward for HR function.
  • Strong project management skills.
