What will you do?
- Manage rental asset portfolio and ensure statistics and movements are reported / uploaded on a timely basis
- Provide analysis and metrics in a timely and consistent manner to cross functional internal stakeholders
- Operational Excellence - Identify and report on key success factors. Recommend improvements to current operating practices, processes and procedures.
- Reconcile data between systems to determine inconsistencies and recommend/initiate process changes to improve performance.
- Provide support during the budget process to ensure budget is completed within given timeline with the appropriate levels involved
- Build analytical models to perform ad-hoc financial analysis to estimate financial impacts and make recommendations to Management
- Prepare accruals and standard JE’s for the month end/year end reporting
- Organize, monitor and facilitate internal reporting to ensure initiatives stay on target
- Provide value-add variance analysis to operations divisions to drive performance
- Highlight and bring attention to financial issues prior to them becoming significant
- Provide coaching to non-financial managers on importance of financial procedures/impacts
- Act as liaison with other members of the Finance group and the organization to ensure data integrity, address challenges and identify opportunities for increased efficiencies and improvements
- Financial analysis and support for strategic changes e.g. Organizational Re-alignment, Territory Expansion, Mergers and Acquisition, Business valuation, Business Case preparation, etc.
What do you bring?
- Ability to work with large volumes of data, identify trends and provide insight
- Possess or in progress of obtaining a professional designation (CPA, MBA) is preferred
- Minimum 1-3 years’ experience working in a financial analysis capacity.
- Detail oriented and results focused, as well as the ability to see the big picture and how tasks fit into accomplishing the overall company objectives.
- Ability to build strong cross functional relationships through negotiation, persuasion and influence.
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
- Ability to interpret financial results and communicate them to non-financial users.
- Strong competency in driving analysis through software tools (i.e. KNIME, Excel modeling, Access, Power Pivot/Query)
- Experience working with SAP, Power BI, Power Query, Prophix and KNIME desired but not required
- SQL and VBA experience an asset.
- Strong problem solving and time management skills. Deadline driven
