What will you do?

  • Review vendor statements and perform reconciliations
  • Includes month end/quarter end reconciliations/accruals for Top 15 vendors
  • Perform reconciliations for top 15 vendors, gaining payment approvals with internal stakeholders and resolve vendor aging balances.
  • Manage 20+ invoice workflow queues daily
  • Source coding of PO invoices, Self-Distribution model invoices and credits as to ensure the correct branches and areas of the business are charged/credited
  • Work with external and internal stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies
  • Investigate payment status inquiries, unpaid invoices/nonpayment issues for all Reliance vendors and work with vendors and Reliance branches to resolve disputes
  • Investigate financial adjustments on vendor statements and advise on corrective action
  • Review and validate new vendor setup requests as well as existing vendor change requests in SharePoint.
  • Identify process gaps, areas of improvement within invoicing/payment process and work with stakeholders to streamline
  • Prepare reports for Early payment discounts (EPD) and follow up for branch approval to maximize EPD savings
  • Prepare reports for EPD progress, Invoice payment turnaround time, vendor spend. for executive review
  • Front end contact for suppliers for any invoicing or payment related matters

 

What do you bring?

  • 1-3 years of experience in supply chain, vendor management, purchasing, or accounts payable
  • Current enrollment or post-secondary education on Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or Finance preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of P2P cycle
  • Interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders
  • Highly organized and strong attention to details
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency on cy Microsoft office: Excel, Word, SharePoint, Power BI.
  • Prior experience with P2P, ECM, workflow, and ERP systems. SAP preferred.
  • Perform key analytics to monitor purchasing trends
  • Fosters a strong control environment by ensuring that departmental internal controls are maintained, spot checks the effectiveness of controls and takes corrective action as required
