We are currently seeking Inclusive Education Coordinators for the upcoming 2025-2026 Academic Year for our Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island locations.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Under direction of the Director of Inclusive Education, the Inclusive Education Coordinator will provide quality educational services to inclusive education students and their parents in a home learning setting, through a commitment to working alongside the parents and education team in planning and implementing student IEP programs.

QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:

An experienced inclusive education teacher, certified by the B.C. Teacher Regulation Branch or the Office of the Inspector of Independent Schools. A teacher who enjoys the opportunity to support families who have chosen to educate their children in a home learning environment. Should possess experience in inclusive education or related field. Training or experience in and ability to modify/adapt general education curriculum, create IEP’s and read assessment documentation to create a program that helps children with disability thrive and grow.

EXPERIENCE:

Experience and education related to working with individuals with disabilities or diverse abilities. This could include, but is not limited to ASD, FASD, Cerebral Palsy, Chronic Health Impairments, Hearing Loss, Visual Impairments, Learning Disabilities, Behaviour or Mental Health concerns, etc. Experience and/or a desire to work with coded inclusive education students (K-12) and their families in a home learning setting; ability to modify/adapt curriculum; ability to collaborate with family and team members to write SMART IEP’s and student learning plans.

CREDENTIALS AND/OR SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Certified by the B.C. Teacher Regulation Branch or the Office of the Inspector of Independent Schools.
  • Ability to recognize learning challenges, prescribe remediation and evaluate student progress.
  • Understanding of the dynamics and challenges faced by families with children with disabilities or diverse abilities.
  • Ability to function as a member of an educational team and collaborate with parents, EA’s, general education staff, therapy providers, support personnel and community agencies.
  • Strong behaviour management and positive discipline skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and receptive to change.
  • Some experience or training in interpreting the standardized scores and relevant details found in Ed Psych and other assessment reports.



This is a 0.7 - 1.0 FTE position and above salary takes that into account
