Job Description:

In collaboration with the operations director, the forest supervisor will be responsible for:

• Participating in the operational planning of work sectors.
• Managing one or more teams of brush clearers.
• Assigning areas to the brush clearers.
• Ensuring compliance with specifications, operational directives, and current standards.
• Ensuring the quality of work.
• Inspecting safety equipment.
• Marking intervention sectors with ribbons.

Requirements / Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should:

• Have experience in brush clearing or have at least one year of experience in the forestry field.
• Hold a Vocational Studies Diploma (DEP) in forest management or a College Diploma (DEC) in forestry technology, or have completed relevant training (an asset).
• Demonstrate autonomy and precision.
• Be organized, dynamic, and have a strong team spirit.
• Possess communication skills and an ability to work with a multicultural workforce.
• Have good physical fitness and enjoy working outdoors.
• Know how to use GPS and forest maps.
• Hold a valid driver's license.

Work Locations:

Several contract locations available: Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean, Mauricie, Bas St-Laurent, Côte Nord.
