Our clients represent Risk, Finance, HR, CAO, Audit, Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime, Capital Markets, Personal and Commercial Banking and Wealth Management. We also lead the development of digital tools and platforms to enhance collaboration.This role will report to the Director, DevOps Systems Engineering, Innovation, Digital, Expertise and Architecture (IDEA) within the Global Functions Technology (GFT) organization in Technology & Operations. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating with IDEA technical team and the Enterprise IT Ops Risk team for all major systems and related subsystems under IDEA portfolio to ensure the integrity of computer generated data. With your relevant experience and seasoned knowledge, skills, and practices you should be able to perform a variety of assignments under risk and compliance requirements.What will you do?Work within the IDEA technical team to ensure all applications comply with RBC's risk IT policy and procedures.Work closely with Corporate Systems Ops & IT risk, application and infrastructure teams to identify and/or mitigate identified risks like NPIDs, P2 issues, DAT, DAP, local and privileged IDs, TLS, TSS vulnerabilities etc.Help mitigate reported compliance issues with Threat Centric Vulnerability Model (TCVM), TCCM Compliance and other security and vulnerability issues reported for all the applications.Proactively enforce compliance of all the applications as per RBC's risk IT policy and proceduresWork to improve system resilience, including both failover and disaster recovery capabilities.Ensure apps are up-to-date with RBC's tech currency roadmap and work with necessary stakeholders to meet tech currency goals.Continuously work with application and infrastructure teams to align to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) strategy for all the applications monitoring, logging, alerting, event etc.Work with technical team to improve system resilience, including both failover and disaster recovery capabilities.Must have:Good understanding and 2+ years experience of common technologies and platforms used in the industry Windows, Linux, SQL server, Oracle etc.Good understanding and 2+ years experience of working IT Information Security Risk & Compliance. e.g., taking ownership of a reported risk issue, work with application team, vendors and organization's Risk team to help resolve the issue.Good understanding of common Web technologies: Apache, Apache Tomcat, IIS, NGINX, KerberosBasic understanding of cloud technologies and concepts: Azure, OpenShift etcGood problem solving, and communication skills with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersNice to have:Experience OR understanding of security patch compliance, working with infrastructure teams for server patches deploymentUnderstanding of monitoring and alerting systemsAptitude to learn new tools and concepts quickly and apply to tasks at handProblem-solving and execution skillsWhats in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
