Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the Opportunity?In support of RBC's journey towards an agile organization Tech Infrastructure Agile Transformation serves as a catalyst for Agile Adoption and maturity in TI. Enabling strategic priorities by mobilizing and supporting transformation initiatives and driving the culture and behaviors needed to succeed with a client centric approach. The Agile Program Director- Tech infrastructurewill lead the agile program processes and their execution, escalates impediments, manages risks, and helps drive program-level continuous improvement working in close collaboration with multiple cross functional teams. Additionally, this role is responsible for facilitating complex enterprise program events by using agile methodology and framework (suit-for-purpose) such as SAFe methodology, Scrum, Kanban, etc. Success of this role is measured in terms on how well program framework/processes are being planned and executed as well as the success and predictability of the teams delivering on the program objectives and commitments.What will you do? Organizing and facilitating all program level planning events as outlined in the Agile Management Framework.Proactively managing and escalating risks, issues, impediments, and dependencies.Resolving complex non-technology related issues impacting multiple teams.Working in collaboration with each team to provide a high-level estimate for a product/program increment as part of the forward planning process.ART level reporting of progress, status, metrics, financials and KPIs to required stakeholders Operationalizing governance & oversight of the ART.Completing all compliance documents required at the program level (IRP, SOW)Supporting and reinforcing targeted behaviors that contribute to RBC goals and employees understanding of RBCs vision.Supporting team through organizational change while minimizing disruption and keeping focus on productivity and morale.Providing coaching to Team members on agile processes and practicesWhat do you need to succeed?Must Have's: 7-10+ years of project management and/or business (system) analysis experience on software development projects and/or other key relevant professional experience using influence to facilitate outcomes.5+ years of experience as a Senior Scrum Master orchestrating work across a multi team environment, Agile Program Lead or Release Train EngineerAbility to apply RBC Agile Management Framework and well documented Agile techniques (User Stories, Burndown techniques, Acceptance Test Driven Development, Continuous testing, etc.); application of the scaled agile framework (SAFe).Undergraduate Degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experienceCSM, PMI-ACP, CSPONice-to-Have: Agile Release Train Engineering Certificate, SPC - Safe Program Consultant is a benefitScrum Master Trainer, Certified Scrum Professional, Certified Scrum Product Owner, or is highly desirable Value Stream Mapping ExperienceRBC is committed to supporting flexible work arrangements when and where available.
