This involves assisting and managing the renewal or true-up process for necessary software maintenance contracts with vendors.Monitor and capture software usage and counts within the licensing management system, which involves conducting software inventory discovery and collection procedures.Load purchase orders and asset tracking records into a licensing system, where purchase order activities convert into license entitlements.Generate software reporting for enterprise and significant vendor contracts and research, recommend and implement cost-saving initiatives throughout the contract period.Liaise with the Software Category Manager to implement software strategies such as co-terming agreements.Review industry or product releases that impact licensing requirements, structures, metrics, and models.Consult software product owners on new products, agreements, renewals, and amendments.Develop, test, and implement new processes or tools to facilitate more efficient software asset processes.WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?Must have:5-8 years of Software IT Asset Management experience.Demonstrate the proven ability to review and understand software licensing documents.Display a strong knowledge and experience with software discovery inventory tools and collection methods.Have a strong knowledge of software models, metrics, and asset management best practices.Nice-to-have:Prior experience managing IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Red Hat, and other key vendor software contracts and products.Mature organizational skills and ability to meet critical deadlines.Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses.Whats in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive, and communities prosper.
