Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity? As a member of the Global Privacy Office, the Senior Manager, Privacy, will work in the Canadian and Caribbean Privacy team in fulfilling its responsibilities by providing strategic advice and guidance on mitigating privacy risks. The Senior Manager supports the Privacy Office by executing activities which assess 2LOD Privacy Officers adherence to the Enterprise Privacy Control Standards and requirements.What will you do? Regularly review and continuously improve the core Privacy compliance programs to ensure they continue to meet regulatory, legal and RBCs privacy obligations and commitmentsServe as the internal subject matter expert on privacy and work closely with key business partners and provide support to help key stakeholders understand and interpret privacy regulatory and legal requirements. Perform Privacy Risk Assessments on new initiatives and third parties, resulting in the identification of privacy risks to the business. Perform reporting and tracking of recommendations/issues raised during privacy risk assessments. Execute against planned routine reviews of 2LOD privacy controls, processes, and procedures, including Processing Activity Risk Assessments (PARA) and Privacy Incident Reporting Tool (PIRT) 2LOD oversight activities and methodologies, Privacy Supplier Risk Management Application (SRMA) oversight, and other program-related activities.Support any inquiries from the privacy authorities and investigations that have privacy issues. Manage and support investigations and incidents related to privacy breachesSupport any privacy diligence requirements for acquisitions and third-party vendors and suppliers as required.Conducts research and environmental scans on privacy controls and emerging trends.Develop strong relationships with various stakeholders to foster a culture of privacyReport on changes in applicable laws and regulations and provide guidance and training as neededWhat do you need to succeed?Must-have University undergraduate degree in a related fieldStrong knowledge of privacy, compliance, and regulatory risk management practicesExperience working in the financial services industry.Experience assessing design and operational effectiveness of internal controlsAt least 5 years work experience interpreting and applying federal privacy lawExcellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to respond to multiple demands and prioritize work activitiesNice-to-have Canadian certification with the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) or an equivalent credential is an assetWhats in it for you?
