Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the Opportunity?As the Director, IA Planning Methodology & Practices, you will lead the maintenance and transformation of Annual Audit Planning (AAP) methodologies and practices, the development and delivery of related learning programs, the annual planning activities, and reporting on the delivery of the annual plan. You will ensure that AAP methodologies and practices are aligned with global regulatory, industry and leading practice expectations for financial institution leading edge internal audit functions by conducting research and interacting with stakeholders across the CAE Group.RBCs CAE Group leverages a unique perspective with a coordinated view across the entire business to deliver valuable advice that not only gives assurance, but that illuminates a bigger picture, connects dots, builds best practices and broadens possibilities. Transform Annual Audit Planning methodologies and practices, incorporating emerging leading practices, regulatory requirements, and professional practices.Develop and deliver related change management activities, including learning.Lead the execution of annual planning activities (including audit universe maintenance, risk assessment, plan creation).Monitor and report on Audit Teams progress against the Annual Audit Plan, including as part of Quarterly Audit Committee reporting.What do you need to succeed?Must-haveUndergraduate degreeMinimum 7 years experience in audit theory and/or practice, preferably in financial sectorProven understanding of annual internal audit planning activitiesExcellent communication skills (both written and verbal)Organized, analytical, accountable, a leader, demonstrate initiative, able to deal with complex issuesNice-to-haveProfessional designations (e.g., CIA, CPA, CA, CISA, CRMA)Strong working background/experience with major business segments of RBC or comparable peer bankKnowledge of the regulatory environments within the Financial Services industryWhats in it for you?
